New initiatives on food quality
FSSC certification
We obtained our international food safety management system FSSC22000 certification on May 2015, the first company in the Kori-tofu industry to do so. It demands strict food safety requirements throughout the whole process, starting with the main ingredients, to distribution, all the way until the product reaches the hands of the consumers. We obtained certification for our Tenryu Factory, Takamori Factory, Iida Factory and Ina Factory. Furthermore, this certification was obtained by involving all employees of our company, following our achieving of ISO9001 certification for the whole company in April 2006.
FSSC22000
This international certification scheme for food safety management systems is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). A new standard based on the international standard ISO22000 for food safety management systems, it has an additional requirement for ISO/TS22002-1, making it considerably more restrictive compared to ISO22000.
